A Weekend in Yellowstone
The Yellowstone National Park is one of those places that we've all heard of and it is no surprise that we had a perfect outdoors weekend on our last Easter Holiday break. I've never thought of myself as an outdoors type, I'm a city girl born-and-bred and was a little worried that there might not be enough going on to keep me occupied - boy was I wrong.

We stayed at The Yellowstone Village Inn in Gardiner which is said to be the park's one all year-round entrance. The rooms were well-appointed with lots of wooden fittings and features giving it a "log-cabin" feel, although that didn't matter much as we were seldom indoors. It's worth noting that there is a no pet policy here, so if you are looking to take your dog with you, then this is not the place for you.

Our most memorable activity we enjoyed was the Paddle and Saddle Trip which was a guided horse-back ride through the park - don't worry if you can't ride, I'd never even touched a horse! Followed by an outdoor lunc ... more
